Where's the jobs

I am a new LPN graduate in the Orlando area. I have spent weeks putting in applications, sending out resumes, making follow up phone calls and NOTHING! I'm beginning to get scared. I am being told you have to have at least a years experience, so my question is how do you get that experience if no-one will hire you to begin with. I am to the point of planning on moving to another state if I thought that would help but am hearing it is the same all over. Are there any new grads out there who have had better luck at finding employment?

hi , im an rn in tampa , the recession has hit hard and most of the nursing jobs have dried up ,but there is always hope , give your prospective employers something they cant find, take a telemetry class, its easy and you will divesify your skills , be flexible and adaptable ( work nights, weekends, prn, whatever they need , )search the internet job boards like craigslist for real jobs , (please be careful) look up hospital jobs on computer, go to human resources face to face ,its tough to turn someone down , but its easy to click a delete button , never give up hope

Hang in there, Caringtouch.

I graduated in May with my BSN and I have applied for what seems like over 300 jobs so far and have only had 4 interviews. I'm still looking...

All I can say is keep trying...no matter how discouraging it is.

I live in CHicago & work on a tele floor. They just closed my unit for the second time in 3-weeks,"due to low census". So now we have to call in 2 hours prior to our shift to the staffing dept. to find out where we will be floated. Tht's also if we don't get floated that day. We have been cancelled/"low censd" at least 1-day a week.
- It's very frustrating.. I hope my floor opens again. A few of my co-workers have already started looking for jobs.
