hi ecristina17,

i totally recommend the McGraw Hills book mentioned in this thread.
i first bought the ATI study guide, then took the teas and bombed on the science section. the ATI study guide is a good book, but not when it comes to studying for science.
i then did some research on this site and some people recommended the Kaplan book, so i went and got that-------a total waste of money!!!!
after being extremely frustrated and stressed about having to pass this science portion (and wasting $20 on that book), i did a little more research on this site. if you look on this thread you will see a reply from timnug. he recommends the McGraw Hills book and he also includes on how you can d/l the book for free. thats what i used. and needless to say, i went from bombing on the science part to passing with flying colors.

many people on this site highly recommend different study guides and have their own opinion on the complexity of the teas test. so it really depends on what your strengths are when it comes to the subjects in the test.

i hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the MSW program and will start taking my science prereqs for nursing school soon. Nursing in CA is so competitive! I mean at CSUEB 800 students applied and only 80 got in. As for the community colleges, they have a lottery pool! I'm never lucky with those. Well, I am on here for support. I plan to start studying for the TEAS ASAP. I downloaded the book tim reccomended. Now I just have to read it and practice.

Here is my question:
are the questions on the TEAS similar to the ones on the Mcgraw's study guide?
In addition, are there any other books that you members reccomend? Math books, science, etc?

Wow to applied vs admittance rate!! Trinh..

Trust when I say.. study the McGraw guide. One of the science questions was based off of the first page.. Some kind of question about Bolus was onthere too!
