Hi, I just got all the requirements in for the LPN program. I took all the tests. I didn't do that well on the TEAS, but hey, I might get accepted. Now, I just have to wait and see.

Is anyone else applying for spring 2010?

Yeah, I appliedfor Spring 2010 and scored in the 97th percentile for teas. I won't get in though because I didn't get one of documents turned in by the due date. That sucks. Luckily, the scores last for 2 years so I will just re-apply next year. I also have healthcare work experience so I got those points as well. Since PBCC accepts students based on a point system, the best thing to do is try and accumulate as much points as possible.

I was going through the process at PBCC and Atlantic Technical School in Coconut Creek. I got into Atlantic Tech I started the process in October and will be starting in January. It fills up quick but there is a new session every nine weeks. The next session open is in April. You might want to consider trying it out. They will also use your scores from PBCC TEAS test. There is no point system as long as you pass the TEAS, Background and Drug Screening it is on a first come first serve basis much easier to get in. Its an excellent school with a passing rate of 95-100% on the NCLEX. Also the whole program is around $5000.00 for the year. Just some info I thought I should share. Good Luck

Thanks for the advice. I went to the info session at Atlantic in September, but the drive took me almost 40 minutes. It took me less than 10 mins to get to PBCC and so I thought I might as well follow through with them instead. They also didn't provide loans, only grants that covers tuiton, books and supplies. I got the package from Atlantic and only needed to pay for my Teas exam and follow through with the background testing and drug screening, etc. If I had followed through with them, I would have been admitted for January, but I just wasn't so sure I was up to the long driving for one full year, not to mention driving so far to clinicals throughout Broward County. I am also not eligible for grants. I am going to look into it some more though. I know they have excellent NCLEX pass rate.
