Jobs in Pensacola

I am currently in a LPN-RN bridge program and graduate in May. I want to move out of state, and have researched the Pensacola area. I like what I see, and according to the areas hospital websites, there are quite a few jobs available. Cost of living really doesn't appear to be much higher than the area I currently live in. I am looking at either Sacred Heart or Baptist. I also prefer night shift, which I hope will help me in finding a position, as it seems many want to stay away from working nights. I plan on getting my license in my home state first and then immediately endorsing it to Florida in order to move by the end of the summer....if all goes well as far as time to endorse and then finding a job.

Can anyone give me any first-hand insight to the area? Is it difficult to get hired on? Are work conditions decent?

I am looking at planning a visit there to make sure it's really an area I can see myself in for awhile; it will definitely help to get any advice from those that live there or have recent experience in the area.

Thanks!

Don't move anywhere before securing a job first.

I don't know about Pensacola, but where I live in FL there are few if any jobs for new RNs.
