Hiring freeze in jacksonville?


Does anyone know what the reason for the hiring freeze is in jacksonville? Is it an over flow of applicants? a budget thing? How long has it been going on? Is there going to be hiring soon? is there any job fairs?

Worried pediatric nurse trying to find a job!

My A&P professor made the comment that Jax is the only place in Florida where we have so many nursing schools putting out so many new grads, that it's hard to find a job. I don't know if that's true or not. I hope you find something soon. ((HUG))

We have 4 major schools in the area putting out new nurses each semester and several other smaller, private institutions, which makes for a lot of people wanting jobs. My school alone just graduated 100 new nurses this past Monday, so it is a tad excessive and really hard to get a job right now here unless you know someone.

well that sucks and im the one moving up there since its " so much easier for a nurse to find a new job" lol who keeps spreading the rumor that there is a nursing shortage!!!
