daytona state admissions

I have a question about daytona state's nursing program. I have an AA in another field from daytona state and a BA from UF. My gpa there was about a 3.8. I have only taken a few prereqs.

Now my question is will they look at my previous AA gpa or just my other prereqs when i take them? Also, how competitive is the program. What are the average gpas and test scores admitted?

best advice: apply to UF. it's a better school. DSC has a lousy program.

rnwotwob1 has had several negative things to say about DSC with no facts. They obviously have some axe to grind with DSC, probably did not get accepted. DSC has a 94% NCLEX pass rate and grads are hired at all of the major hospitals in the area.

Check out this post where rnwotwob1 "theories" were rapidly debunked. http://allnurses.com/florida-nurses/...na-407812.html

They will look at the GPA as a whole. Not just the RN prereq's.

I just discussed this with my CNA instructor last night and she mentioned that many don't take the CNA seriously and kinda coast through knowing they'll be moving on. The low GPA in that class WILL haunt you... lol.
