what is the RN age limit to becoming a flight nurse

We have four helicopters and from I've seen they are mostly in their 30s to 40s.

Don't let age, old or young stop you from pursuing your dreams.

While getting my RN a few years ago, upon touring the life flight center of a major regional medical center near Chicago, I was told that a man my age (42 at the time) was too old for serving as a flight nurse. Never mind that I am in top physical shape, and a triathlete. Ticked me off royally... only mitigating factor is that I am not qualified otherwise to do it yet, anyway. Still need ACLS, CCRN etc. Yep, age discrimination is real, folks. It stinks, so glad to see other places have fewer restrictions. Only performance counts, and nothing else... such as age, sex, etc. That's the bottom line for me. Just my $0.2....
