Hi everyone. I'm a new RN grad and I have a phone interview in a couple of days for South Pointe Hospital (Cleveland, OH).:lol2:I was wondering what type of questions would they ask me, a new grad?

Is anyone familiar with University Hospitals in Cleveland and their hiring process? Any feedback would be great. Thanx!

Specializes in FNP.

I just had a phone interview last week and these are the questions I was asked:

1. Favorite clinical experience

2. Least favorite clinical experience

3. What most surprised me about nursing when I first started

4. How would I deal with horiozontal violence

5. GPA, how many times it took me to pass the NCLEX and at how many questions

6. Why nursing

Good luck!

Specializes in ICU.

My initial phone interview given by the nurse recruiter included the following questions:

Why did I apply to their hospital

What would my instructors say about me?

Give an example of a conflict that I encountered with my teacher/peers/preceptor and what did I do about it?

What are the top three departments I wan to work in?

Why did I go into nursing?

How is my Job Search going?

I did get called in for a live interview with the nurse manager. Last week she called me in for a second interview which I just had two days ago. I will know by the end of this week if I got the job. They narrowed it down to 4 interviewees for 2 spots.... I'm still waiting anxiously

Good luck!
