Nurses New Nurse

So I had my first day on the floor yesterday as a new grad. I am on a step-down trauma, burn, and epilepsy unit. All the staff on the unit were so kind and helpful. They kept asking me if I needed help, and if I asked for help they had no problems helping me. Random nurses even came to me and said "hey would you like to do X?" to help me build my skills. I never had the chance to start an IV in nursing school and I started my first one yesterday.

So I want to say thanks to the all nurses and staff who take that extra moment to help a new grad out and make them feel welcomed. It is super appreciated!

Be sure you give that feedback to the nurse manager. Sounds like a happy floor, and staff performance reflects leadership.
