Specializes in L&D all the way baby!.

AHHHHHHH. I graduated on Dec 16. Scheduled my NCLEX for Jan 23rd (wanting time to study) and then rescheduled it (on the advisement of my instructor and the persistence of my husband) and took it TODAY!!

75 questions. In and out in under and hour. Phew. Relief.

Prioritization, of course and several "check all that apply" (which I theorize are the "practice" ones that don't count. I HATE THOSE!). I was sick all day yesterday and had a HR of about 140 during the exam. I was thinking "man they should have a question about decreased cardiac output!"

Good luck to all. We WILL survive!

AT the urging of my instructors (based on class and ATI scores I suppose) I did not study (or take a review course). I planned to, but the more they told me not to the better it sounded. So I went in blind. Totally blind. Not that I would recommend it to everyone but it is what it is... I was regretting that decision about 2100 last night!

It feels good to have it over with. ;o)

I'm testing on the 8th, and now I don't feel bad for only doing about 200 practice questions a day. I think I'll talke a day off before the exam. I honestly don't think it is helping anyways. If I don't know it by now... LOL

Well I'm done:)

Was very calm all day yesterday...had some wine last night to chill me out to sleep...didn't help...didnt' sleep a WINK haha

Was calm driving to center...left WAy to early so got there WAY to early and started to freak out....called my fiance and he calmed me down.:)

75 questions. Was done in a wee bit over an hour.

5 SATA's, 2 dosage q's, no click on the picture or put in order q's, tons of priority and delegation and a few about " which pt would you gather an interdisciplinary team for".

Can't say it was easy. Can't say it was awful either. It is what it is??? It's odd that's what it is. I CAN say that more studying would have done NOTHING to prepare me for it....I either knew it or I didn't...we'll see

Now the waiting game begins...

I failed the first time I tested, and I thought I was prepared. All I can say is Kaplan, Kaplan, Kaplan!!!!! The information to be tested on is so broad. It is almost impossible to study for. Kaplan teaches you how to break down the question and how to throw out answers. I passed my second try with 160 questions. Good Luck!

I read the Kaplan book again on how to break down questions yesterday. Actually found myself doing that a few times today:). Good info they have....made it pretty easy to throw out distractions.

Glad to hear studying wouldn't have helped you, because I don't have much time to study before Tuesday. Of all the things, I have an open house tomorrow. We are trying to move. Let's throw that stress in on top of everything else! * sigh* ha ha!
