Didn't study for it. Besides reviewing basic facts like lab ranges, the rest of it you either know or you don't. Good luck!

I'm not the OP, but I can tell you that for me, doing as many practice questions as I could made a big difference. The Saunders book was good, our textbood had some questions plus it had an optional workbook of questions that was great, and if you still have time before you take the HESI, Evolve publishes a HESI prep book. Actually, it *used* to be a HESI prep book before they were recently bought by Evolve, now it's a HESI prep book for the NCLEX (are you following that?!). It's too much material to do all of the review that's in it, but it comes with a disk so you can take lots of practice questions and then review the subjects where you didn't do well. There's always going to be a lot on the HESI you don't know, but all of these sources have test-taking strategy advice (I swear, my grades are probably a grade higher than they would be otherwise due to test-taking strategies).

Whatever you do, don't just blow it off! I guess there are people who don't study for it and do okay, but I sure wouldn't be one of them. A little studying goes a long way. I did really poorly on the HESI prep book questions (the ones on the disc), but did much better on the actual HESI, just keep that in mind, don't get discouraged if you aren't getting all the practice questions right, just make sure you read and understand the rationales, that's the important part.
