Hello! I am a new member of allnurses.com, I am a high school sophomore student who wants to become a CRNA. First of all, once I graduate from high school I will be going to a school to get my BSN, is there any program that will help pay for nusring school? Possibly a hospital that pays off the school as long as I work for them.

Once I work at a hospital for 2 years, I hope to enter a school to become a CRNA!

Specializes in ICU.

Just inquire at your local hospitals. My hospital offered a work grant scholarship program. They me full time (plus full time benefits) to work 20 hrs a week and they paid for tuition, books, and all lab fees. In return, I just owed them the number of years in service that they paid in schooling (which for me was 2 years). It was an amazing deal and made my life easier. Most hospitals have some sort of tuition reimbursement program.

There are federal forgiveness programs for nursing student loans too if you're willing to work in what is considered a rural area.

There are many grants/scholarships available, especially if you are bilingual or a minority. Just do some research through your state's nursing association.

Thanks a lot! I am still accepting more answers.
