10 months is pretty close to a year... the cancer center didnt have a problem hiring you before that magical one year mark, so why are your friends telling you otherwise? TAKE THE JOB!!!!!!!!!

i am also a new grad fairly miserable in her first job, hoping to hang on long enough to start interviewing elsewhere.

I can't believe you're stumped about this decision. Think about the hundreds of nurses that would kill puppies to take that cancer center job ...

Call them tomorrow and ACCEPT the offer!

Stop listening to your friends and start listening to YOU and your inner voice. This job sounds amazing. Take it!

Do not put your notice in until you have an offer Letter in hand! I would even wait to make sure background check etc came up clear and nothing would interfere with taking the job. Good luck and sounds like a great opp!!!!

Thanks everyone I accepted the new position. My friends are going to travel nurse in California for 3 months and I wish them well. I think they think I'm crazy being so young and taking a 9 to 5 job but I was just not sure on the travel nursing and I'm excited to do this Africa trip. Your advice really helped me decide.
