nclex question

  1. hi,
I took the nclex today, my computer shut of at 75 q's. I am so scared I failed. I had a ton of peds questions-which I suck at. All the q's were so hard! Has anyone out there failed with 75 q's.

Relax, take a deep breath. It'll be okay, I promise. I took my boards on Jan 6 my computer shut down at 75 as well. I passed!!
The odds are with you, most likely you passed. I have heard of a few not at 75 but the majority do. You said the questions were hard so that is a good sign because the better you do the harder they get. If you were doing bad you would have been getting easy questions.

I started the thread about figuring out what NCLEX stands for I don't know if you read it or not:
Nausea,Confusion, Lingering Every-momnet waiting for the answer to X (the unknown- pass or fail?)

Does your state participate in the website that you can find out the "unofficial" results in 48 hours? for a cost of $7.95? This is how I found out I passed 2 days after my test.

Good Luck!!! I'm confident you passed!! Let us know when you get the results.

Yep,, i agree,, most likely you did fine. I think almost everyone comes out with that feeling of dread, nausea, not knowing whether to cry or shout in relief. Good luck and save a few bucks for the celebration dinner, either way you deserve to treat yourself.

Thanks for the encouragement. I feel like I got a lot of Pediatric q's. Does this have any significance? Does the exam score peds, med/surg, pych, OB as seperate componets. For example if you don't pass the peds part you don't pass the whole test?

No they don't separate into categories.

If you take a 75 question test, 15 questions are questions which they are trying them out for later groups and they do not count for your exam. Which means only 60 of those 75 questions effect your NCLEX grade.
