NCLEX attempts...more than once?

Those of you that took the NCLEX and failed, did your school make you take the HESI systems review? What was the overall average of your class GPA? I have not taken the test yet and am getting upset at how many negative results I am seeing on this board. Any hints on what to expect if you have good grades and have taken one review? And how long did it take you to get the go ahead to schedule your test after you finished?

There are many, many more pass scores, than fail scores. Remember that you are looking at posts from all over the country and some people may just be more vocal than others. I would spend the time preparing yourself for your exam and doing the best job that you can. Put the effort into that, instead of worrying about GPAs, etc. Some of the best nurses that I have ever worked with got straight "C"s in school, so I don't think that the GPA really plays a part in this exam. It also depends on how well some people test. This exam is different than any other than you have probably ever taken. Practice doing the review questions that are on the CDs. Try to get at least 3000 done before you take your exam.....................

    And good luck........................

If I remember correctly 85% of new grads pass the NCLEX the first time.

Good Luck!! And I totally agree with doing lots of practice questions. The questions I thought most resembled the difficulty of the Nclex came from this site www.learningext.com
