I took My NCLEX Today

  1. Hi everyone! I need all of your prayers and positive vibes to come my way today please! I took my NCLEX this morning and boy was it hard!

I had so many PEDs ques. I was like why am I getting so many peds? I figured I must be getting them wrong. I also had OB and management of care questions. No calculations at all. It was weird because I'm waiting for all of these adult med-surg questions which never came. I tried not to freak out, but at one point I was near tears because I just had a feeling that I was doing horribly. I expected to get more than 75 to help prove myself "worthy" of my license, but it shut of at 75. I was so depressed when that happened. I didn't feel great at all. I was the first person to leave even though about 7 people started before me and I was only there about an hour. I came home and just stayed under my covers until I fell asleep. I took the LPN exam last August and it was a totally different experience. Two of my friends took theirs this afternoon. One got 75 the other got 89 q. Once I spoke with my classmate, she made me feel better and reinstated the confidence in myself that I needed. I'm trying to relax while I wait for the results, but you know how that is! I tried not to tell too many people because the pressure is too much. But I'll tell the world that I passed!

Congrats! I am sure you passed. I mean, I have not heard of anyone having their test turn off at 75 questions and fail. Mine shut off at 75 questions and I felt the same way you did. I am sure you did great! Good luck as an RN.

Congratulations, I rtemember that when I had finished my NCLEX I came out of the exam not knowing which way was up and which way was down (i went through over 200 questions)!!!! I am sure you will have done ok. Time to relax now and start preparing for a very rewarding career. ? Ever thought about peds? I am 10 years in over here in the UK and still loving it!

Really, 75 is a good sign. VERY FEW people fail at 75. Mine shut off at 75, too, and I was totally freakin' out over it! I look forward to hearing that both of you passed very soon!

    Thanks everybody for your support!

Mandy, good luck to you also. I'll find out by Wednesday, so I'll let everyone know.

Nekhismom, thanks for the encouragement. I read some of your other posts. I hope to be an L&D (or postpartum, etc anywhere in there!) Nurse myself. Good luck on your move and new job. Please let me know how you're doing.

Please remember that all of you will be getting 50% right as well as 50% wrong. That is how they score the NCLEX by seeing at what level your skills fall into..........................Good luck and keep us posted..................
