How long does it take to get your IP?

I graduated 12/14, received my ATT on 12/16 via email and I just wondering how long it takes to get an IP number? I start my new job next month and I wasnt planning on taking my NCLEX until the first week of Febuary. I need my IP to work...ugh! I also received through the regular mail system, a written ATT with instructions. No IP number. Is this something sent separate?

I am from California so I dont know if that makes a difference:uhoh3:

You can look on the CA BON website for your IP license. California Board of Registered Nursing - Online Services

It doesn't take too long, but the CA BON needs to receive your official transcript. (They send you an official notice via snail mail.) If you don't see your name on there, you can always call them. (Be prepared to wait on hold.) It's a busy time of year with all the new graduates! Good luck!

I graduated in Cali the same time you did but ... I was told to expect something by mid-January. At least you got something in the mail ... I haven't gotten anything, even though I sent my application in early.

Thanks for your input. Seems that as soon as I post my curious question, my name appears on the BRN and I have my IP. No worries now. ;)
