Hi there! I live in NC. My fingerprint and background check information was sent in to the BON May 12th. I got my ATT May 16th, and tested May 25th. I didn't want to wait too long. I start my new job on 7-20 and wanted another chance to take the test if the 'unthinkable' happened!!

I sent mine 5/1 and I am showing as pending, but I need my ATT!!!

I don't remember exactly how long it took from the time I sent in my paperwork to the time I got my ATT, but it wasn't long, probably less than a week. But I graduated in December and didnt fill out my application until February, so they probably weren't as busy.

I'm right there with you. I'm in Ohio, graduated 3 weeks ago, still awaiting my ATT. We were thinking we'd be taking NCLEX by mid July, but it's starting to look like August... many in my class are FURIOUS because they have jobs pending passing boards and their NM won't hold these jobs for 2 more months.

I cannot believe how long Ohio is taking. I mean after reading all of these replies that other states are not taking as long, it makes me more and more furious. I got thru to them last Thursday and they informed me that they were working on apps they rcvd on 5/7 and they got mine on 5/18. Even w/out weekends I am still behind by 7 days. I asked her to estimate how long before I will show pending and she couldn't give me a time. She said that some days they got 50 apps and other days they got 250! It wouldn't be so bad if after your name is pending (which in my case probably won't be for another 2wks) you got your att right away. But it takes 7-10 business days (2wks) to get your att and then according to a few people that sent their apps in earlier then me and have their att, they had to schedule out 3wks to take nclex.

And what can I do but wait? This is sooooo retarded!

I went to school in Massachusetts. I graduated May 31 2008, got my ATT about 2 weeks later, and took my NCLEX July 28.

Lets see....In California
Graduated: Jan 23rd, they'd hand delivered our paperwork to the board about a week before that. I had also applied for IP. Friday Jan 30th, saw that my IP had showed up online. So...figuring I was in the system even though I hadn't yet received my ATT, I signed up for NCLEX (yes it let me). For Feb 2nd, the following monday.... Showed that I passed Feb 6th.
So less than two weeks from graduate date to licensed RN.
I know that is not the average at all. I'm lucky.

I graduated in the first week of may and did not get my att until late june. Took the test on the 10th of july and passed with 75 questions.....Florida
I was frustrated with the waiting but I ended up using all that time to study for the nclex and it turned out okay.

I graduated June 12 and am pending on the Ohio site. But I haven't gotten my ATT yet-I heard it takes 7 days from pending to recieving it. I will let you know if its true.
