How to get through it

As a new grad I have been searching for a job for a while, I passed my boards in 12/2008 and have been searching since then . Im in the process with a LTC-rehab-subacute nursing home right now and I am nervous and excited. I have tried to keep up with some reading of my med-surge book but its really hard to read about something when your not in the field. I guess i just want to know as experienced nurses what type of questions should i ask? what should i be prepared for? what should i study to be ready? any tips? any advice noone ever gave you as a new grad you wish they had?? should I get malpractice insurance within my first week of orientation?what is an everyday schedule like for a rehab LTC nurse? Other than having doctors always in house how is an LTC rehab nursing home similar and different from hospital work? I just feel so lost my school never gave us any of these tips.
