Good day at work today

Today was the first day at work where I really felt like I knew what I was doing. For the first time I didn't feel the need to ask another nurse what to do with every physician's order/lab result/problem I encountered. I realize that I'm far from being an experinced nurse and I will never stop learning new things and encountering situations where I don't know what to do, but it was nice to go home at the end of day feeling like I did a good job for once and not punch out thinking "will I ever feel comfortable doing this job? Did I remember to chart everything? What if someone dies because of something I did or didn't do?"
