I know this is an old thread but I applied for the 2013 versant program at FV and wondered how long after the application do they start contacting for interviews? Also on my application they never said to specify a specialty area at that time? Thanks!

Have you heard back from them yet? I heard back last week. If you haven't, call the recruiter. My interview is this month. Do you happen to know what kind of contract they require? Or what the pay is like? Good luck!

no I haven't heard from HR. I called today and left a msg. I can't seem to get ANY bite for a job! I don't know anyone who has done the program at FV but at this point I wouldn't care what the pay is! Good luck.

I know there were two postings for the Fountain Valley New Grad program, one closed immediately after 2 days of it being up while one was up for many days. I wonder if the second posting was faulty. I will call HR tomorrow and follow-up, thank you!

I just found this old post and saw these recent replies, so I thought I would respond. I applied to the upcoming 2013 new grad program in mid-december, i think the 20th, and the hr guy called me the next day for the screening interview. The interview is not till jan 21st. So i was surprised to hear so quickly. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I had my screening interview today at FVRH with the nurse recruiter and one of the ICU Nurse who was in the Versant program last year and transitioning to be a clinical nurse. The whole process was very short, 10 minutes long. Asked very general questions.. they said they will let me know by next week for further interviewing process.

Hi OneWay,

Good luck to you and all of us! I was reading someone's post early in this thread (p. 2) who said that during their screening interview they were asked:

Why did you decide nursing was for you?

Why you chose the unit you chose?

What qualities would be good for a nurse in that unit?

This is sort of what I have been going off of (my interview is Monday) but if you don't mind me asking, is this what they asked you or something similar for your interview?

Thanks!

Hi Bailey. C, Yes exactly, they asked those questions and also looked at my resume, and asked why I went to school in the East and West areas. So i'm guessing they will pick a random question pertain only to you. Good luck to you and let me know how it goes!

Hi!! Yes the questions were accurate. Those three were what they asked. It went by pretty quick, and they were very nice and made you feel comfortable. I found out that there were 1200 applicants and only 150 went through to this interview, so that is a reason to walk tall and remember that you got picked because you have something to offer! You will do great!! Good luck!!

Thanks so much!! It's later today at 350. (Kinda late) I hope it'll be fine for me. Did you bring a portfolio or anything? Did they need my transcripts? THANKS!

Just the documents they asked for, which was transcript, two letters of rec, the paragraph, and resume with a passport size pic paper clipped to it. I just bought a presentation folder to put them in...
