I have had this same question- and Ill tell you the answer I got from someone- Its not bad to apply to multiple positions but pick and choose wisely. I wouldnt apply to every job opening, they may think your just trying to get any job and are probably doing this to every place that has openings, doesnt matter where. Find the positions that interest you most and apply to those- I think they said not to apply to more than 3-5 positions if there are multiple jobs listed. Good luck!

I also vote to applying to more than one position...but as VM85 said, choose wisely. That's because a lot of places have a cap on how many positions you can apply to, either in total or per time period (e.g., you can't apply to more than 5 positions in one week).

To be honest, the odds are that no matter how many positions you apply for, they're all going to go through the same 2 or 3 recruiters/HR people.

Is there a department of interest? A Specialty of interest? I think New Grads can get away with applying for everything under the sun because of the economy. However, as everyone else pointed out, be sure to ONLY apply to jobs you want or you will end up on a floor you will hate. HR does not look out for you interest; they only look out for their own!
