Back to school???

  1. Hi all,

I graduated with my Associates in nursing December 2002. Passed my NCLEX May 2002. (wondering why it took so long? I work as a Jr. Accountant and needed to concentrate with work until tax season was over. so I took my exam after it die down at work a bit) I'm planning to go back to school Fall of 2003, but getting discouraged. I feel as tho I still have a long way to go. I wanted to enroll in the bridge program, where they combine BSN and Master. Does anyone know how long it will take to get my BSN? How about enrolling for the bridge program? At this point, I kinda wished I didn't have to go back to school, but if I want to excel in work, I guess I should. Any recommendations/suggestions will be appricated. Thanks

I don't know about the bridge for BSN to Masters, but I know at my school, the RN to BSN program was an 18 month full time program. Just a word of encourgagment: If getting your masters is your goal, go for it! I think that going back to school can seem like a gid hassle sometimes, but if you don't do it, and that's what you wanted to do, you may end up regretting it later on.

Thanks for your reply. I guess it will probably take me 2-2 1/2 years if I go part time. Thanks for your encourgagment.~~!!!!
