Congrats on your upcoming graduation ToledoRN2be. Our school requires to pass with a 75%. Out of curiosity, what version was your ati? We had version 3.0.

Update on me: I took ATI in late March got 80% with 98% expected chance of passing. I took NCLEX April 3rd it cut off at 75 questions I found out that I passed the next day. YAY! SO I guess it was a pretty good predictor. I studied from the Saunders 4th edition review book and took a 3 day NCLEX review offered by a teacher at my school. I studied for about one week (about 3 hours per day). Did about 1500 questions give or take a few hundred. I also did the Kaplan questions in the skinny purple review book.

I took the ATI for the NCLEX PN and RN. For the PN I had a 99% chance of passing and I did pass on my first attempt and for the RN I had a 98% chance of passing and did pass on my first attempt. So for me they were right on the money. I did not study before I took either ATI and when I took them I tried to be as laid back as possible with my answer to see where my real level of knowledge is at. I did study for both NCLEX PN and RN on the areas I scored the lowest on the ATI which I think helped but just remember what isnt on the ATI and study those things as well.

My school is so pro-ATI that they are considering making passing the ATI part of the requirements for graduation.

So is mine, it better be worth it after all the $$$$$$$ ATI stole from my bank account.

Specializes in ER; HBOT- lots others.

we had to take the predictor also, i dont know if the contract with ATI has anything to do with the fact that my dean has her name and a quote in it...does your school??

i didnt study for this test, i really wanted to see where i am. we took ours last week or so, you guys know how remembering a day is, and i got a 76.5 = 98% chance of passing boards on "first attempt", that sounds just bad doesnt it?

so we will see. i am doing tons of questions, many sources and also the Kaplan Review.

we will see, i just sure wish i could take boards now and not wait! dang-it!

I took it yesterday and got an 85, 99% probability of passing NCLEX. Let's hope! :) Good luck to everyone who hasn't done it yet. It was a long 3 hours!

I just took my ATI predictor yesterday & it predicted my NCLEX pass rate at 99%. Here are some tips to help prepare for the predictor:

1. Read as much of the RN comprehensive book as possible (I just read it like a novel several days before hand to refresh my memory).

2. Take the non-proctored exams available in all content areas (Maternal, Peds, Pharm, Med-Surg, and Psych) and study the material suggested.

3. Brush up on basic lab norms, ABG's, fluids, and electrolytes.

**The test is based on all content areas, but is mainly med-surg material (right out of the RN Comprehensive book!)

I hope this helps!!

What is the ISBN for the RN comprehensive book? I have so many ATI books but I don't see that one, thanks! :nuke:

The ISBN for the RN comprehensive book is 1933107529

It's the biggest one (1215 pages) & the title is: Adult-Medical Surgical Nursing: RN Edition 7.1. I Googled the ISBN to check, and there are some available out there to purchace.

Good luck!

I have that book already. Great!

Only problem is I have trouble maintaining my focus when reading it since it is more of a cliffnotes style of book. I'll give it try though!
