I've been an LPN for almost 2 years with about year and a half experience in LTC. I'm interested in alternative jobs such as OHN. Are LPNs qualified to work in this area? I really don't want to go back to school to convert to RN because of age, expense and other life goals. Thaanks

I've been noticing that a large percentage of the OHN jobs throughout the US are contract positions. Why is this? Is it just a way for them to save money by not providing benefits to the OHN? Many positions say "long-term contract position". If I'm going to work somewhere for long term (many years), I want benefits. I can understand short-term contract positions that lead to permanent employment if they like you and vice versa, but there seems to be no advantage to the OHN to take a long term contract position. Any thougts on this?

Hi,
Please everyone help me. I am so disappointed and confused. UAB's FNP program has reached the limit. It sounds like it reached the limit before they even reviewed my documents. I really wanted to get into their FNP program.
Does any know about their ANP program? How is it? From reading the posts from the forum, I think It is hard to find a job when I graduate. What do you think about ANP with concentration in OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH? Is that easy to find a job? I have so many loans so I am really worried about job market. What is the difference between ANP and ANP with speciality in occupational health? Do I just need to learn a few more classes?
I would really appreciate your answers. Thank you very much in advance.
