Hello,

I recieved a letter from Delaware County Community College last week stating that my petition for 2010 nursing program had been reviewed and was incomplete. My official high school transcript is not on file with the admissions office.

It also states that since it was recieved after the priority deadline of October 20 2009 I will only be considered for a seat in the program if available or for placement on the waiting list. Do you think that it is worth submitting the final high school transcript and hope for a spot on the waiting list? My NET scores were not as good as I had hoped, 88 composite, 93 in Math and 82 in Reading. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Hi,

If there are any graduates or students from Northampton Community College please let me know about your experience. I'm specifically looking into their night/weekend program, but I would love to hear from any nursing student (or grads) if you are willing to share. I'm wondering how their professors are, how difficult the program is, what are clinicals really like and how long are they, stuff like that.

Thanks!

a day program. Is there anything designed for people who HAVE to work to go at night....

so far, all I have gotten is the impression that I could take all OTHER requirements at night/online but the
actual nursing classes are full-time day?

What am I missing?
Thank you -

I was wondering if anybody currently in the program or looking at it could give me the run down of the application process/time line. They have recieved all my info and im just waiting to hear about an interview at this point. Any general info about the process would be appreciated. I know a good deal about the program but i do not know how competative it is in terms of gpa etc, or how important having all the prereqs. ahead of time (im finishing them up during the spring). Thanks a bunch.

I will be transferring from DCCC's ADN program. Do all the credits transfer over? I was looking at west chester's site and they call their nursing courses something different.

How many credits did you take at West Chester? Did you like the program? Was it expensive? Is it competitive to get in?

Hello,

I am posting to see if anyone can tell me what the cost of UPMC shadyside tuition is? I know last year they had the price on the internet, but now I can't find anything that reflects cost! If someone could let me know what the cost is for the college courses (breakdown), and then the nursing courses (breakdown), I would deeply appreciate it. I am planning on taking some non nursing courses at community college, and maybe just A&P 1 & AP 2, and Micro at Shadyside. I am planning on doing their 4 year evening and weekend program! Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Thanks,

I graduated from HACC in 2006 as an LPN. Considering going to Mont Alto next year for the RN. Those of you who have gone there, or are currently attending the nursing program, what are your thoughts on the class, theory, instructors, paperwork expectations, exams, etc...??? Also, what is the average gpa to get into the program? Are they looking for 4.0's or is gpa not the only thing they look at??

I am looking for a school where the instructors WANT the students to learn and be able to utilize the material covered. Not one where they want to see how much paperwork/busy work they can throw at you and still expect perfection on exams and clinical paperwork.

Any and all thoughts, advice are greatly appreciated. I've sent for the nursing program info and am going to start getting my required information together awhile.

Kelly
