I'm planning to start applying to schools in 2010, and to hopefully start in the fall of 2011 or spring of 2012. Two of the school's I'll be applying to (Barry and TCU) offer most of their didactic courses where I live via distance learning/teleconferencing. Who's had experience with this type of class, and how are they? I have a lot of college experience, and have taken many live classes as well as more than a few online. Some of my online classes offered prerecorded lectures, but none offered any way for us to actively participate outside of the discussion board. It sounds strange, but as I'm somewhat stuck geographically, I'm glad I at least have more than one school that I can apply to. Any advice/opinion from people who've taken this type of class is very welcome! Thank you!

I have an interview with Our Lady of Lourdes NAP next week and can't find any info on how it goes. I have plenty of information about genral interview questions from an assortment of schools, however nothing specifically for this school. Also, i heard they give a basic science exam on the day of the interview. What does this consist of?

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has any advice. I have been accepted into CRNA school, which starts this January. I just recently found out that I was pregnant. I am wondering if any one has encountered this or known someone who has. I have not told my school yet and do not know if there is an option to postpone for a year. I do know how much of a commitment CRNA school is and know I will not have any time. I will have a support system between my partner and family as my mother plans to move down to help take care of the baby while I am in school. Thanks for any help.

Any SRNAs with only NICU before school?

I am applying to CRNA school now. I have 3.5 years level III NICU experience including transport (able to intubate, put in lines etc). I was wondering, for any SRNAs with only NICU experience, how well prepared do you feel you were for school? Do you think it is harder not having adult experience? What was your interview like? Did you have to answer a lot of adult-based clinical questions? Did you feel like it was more difficult to get into school without having adult experience? Any help answering these questions would be appreciated!

Thanks!
