Hi All, brand new to this website. It's wonderful! I'm at beginning of journey to RN. I work full-time now, but not in healthcare. Am starting pre-reqs. Have a BA already and Masters in Social Work. Am thinking about CNA to get me into healthcare setting now. Great feedback in these forums about whether to do this or not!

Am looking at different programs in my area--Johnson County. JCCC is hard to get into--classes fill up immediately. Has anyone taken CNA class at Kansas College of Nursing in Olathe? Just learned of them yesterday.

Any feedback appreciated about this CNA program or others in my area! Thanks!

I was just wondering how the job market was in NE Kansas, particularly in the Brown county area. I'm currently working in SE Michigan, north of Detroit, but my fiancee has been out of work for awhile and we're looking to relocate. Any info would be greatly appreciated!:spin:

Does anyone know what the policy is regarding renewing your LPN license if not currently practicing...

Does anyone know what the policy is regarding renewing your LPN license if not currently practicing as LPN. I researched KSBN.org and could not find a clear answer. I have been offered a job working as a "Health Technician" therefore will not be working as an LPN. Will I still be able to receive my license when it comes time to renew? thanks everyone! =)
