I need to take an intro to Chemistry class before starting my nursing program in May and was wondering at which school to take it. I have taken Biology classes at ACC before and was less than impressed with the staff and structure of the classes. However, ACC is very conveniently located and would cut my driving time in less than half. Has anybody taken Chemistry classes at ACC before? How was the staff, did you like the course structure?

TIA!

I enrolled in NAUs nursing program because of the huge wait list for PPCC, but I'm concerned about their accreditation status. Once I finish the RN program, will I be eligible to sit for state boards, and will I be eligible for hire? This is all confusing to me as I have heard many different opinions about the NAU program. Thanks for any feed back you can give.

On Sunday mornig he could not stand or walk because of calf pain. he could not dorsiflex his feet without yelling. It was scary. Children's hospital said it was Post Influenza myositis. I had never heard of this befor. He just started standing and walking today although he still has pain. Has anyone ever seen this before? I heard it is not very common. Thanks.

Hello can anyone tell me what the new grad base pay and night differential is for health one hospitals now?? It may have changed throughout the last year so if you are a new grad that just got hired through health one I would greatly appreciate some information. Also do they increase your salary if you have hospital experience because I have three years of C.N.A experience. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone heard any information from Metro yet? I have been waiting, but I have a deposit due next week for another school and wanted to hear from Metro before I decide. I know people are going to say just pay the deposit ($1000) and then I can decide later when I hear from Metro, but I really don't want to lose money I been saving. I was thinking of calling or emailing Metro to see how far along in the process they are, but I did not want to annoy people there if they have no idea.

Any nurses in the Longmont/Loveland/Boulder/N. Denver metro area?

I'm an AZ nurse who is planning to relocate to CO next spring. We are planning to live in Longmont, and I've given myself a 30-40 mile radius as to what hospitals I'll look at. On a whim, I contacted a travel company to look into doing the traveler nurse thing. She was not able to give me exact salaries, but she said that I should expect to be paid $25-30/hour. I was shocked, as that seems so low! She said that CO is a "high demand" area, like HI, FL, and NY, and so hospitals know they don't have to pay the travelers as much as they would in other states that are harder to fill.

So I'm wondering what the hospitals in the area are paying their experienced nurses. I'm wondering if it may just make more financial sense to try to get a permanent job directly through a hospital, rather than go the travel nursing route.

TIA

Hi there,
So my question is, if you have your license and have been working in another state and the online application asks "Do you have a Colorado nursing license" and you honesty check no, does that kick your application out before HR/hiring managers ever see it? How about as a new grad, if you check no but are intending to get one as soon as you graduate?

Thanks in advance, esp from anyone with HR experiance!
