Nursing Practice Exams for Excelsior

Nursing Students Excelsior

Hi all! I am new to this site AND to Excelsior. I was wondering if anyone here has ever used the site "nursing practice exams" for Excelsior? They are the ones that are 29.99 each. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I haven't used any other site for practice exams except the ones Excelsior itself provides. Excelsior's practice exams were, in my opinion, worth their weight in gold. They are more like $65 or something but are worth it. I always reviewed them the morning of test and was happy I did--got all As and one B.

I just finished one for LS2 just now....they are great and only go therough EC to buy them, you get 2 tests (A and B) both 100 questions and when you are finished you can go back and read the ones you got wrong and the rational behind the correct answers. I always buy them, I have scored high 50's to low 70's on them and have never failed an exam...one C and the rest A's and B's

ok great advice!! Thanks!! As everyone here knows you can't afford to waste any money!!

Go with the excelsior practice tests since they are the ones that write our test, not the other publishing companies!!

I would stick to EC practice exams. I believe they are closer to the real thing than those written by for profit companies.

I saw the other website too, but was very skeptical. It sounds as though you all feel Excelsior exmas are worth it. I also need to save money where I can!! When we register for the exam, we have 90 days of access, so we can retake the practice if we wish?

Just wanted to advise you to be careful with the EC practice exams. They had some kind of a promotion one time. I registered for more than one of the exams and what was supposed to be free, as I recall, ended up costing me, and what's worse, I didn't get the exams. I was unable to resolve this with them, so ended up being out money for nothing. This was with EC itself and not one of the publishing companies. The actual EC practice exams are reportedly very worthwhile, so make certain to take advantage of them, but be careful to get what you pay for.

You can only take each practice exam (Form A & then Form B) ONCE. They recommend you take form A early on, study your weak areas and then take form B to see how well you've improved. You can review the exams with your results and explainations for the full 90 days.

I just completed the prep test A for NURx 106: Chronicity. I couldn't help but notice that a few of the questions on this prep test were the same as in previous prep tests. Which begs the questions are these prep test testing my knowledge on what I am currently studying? I paid $75 for these prep tests and if they are going to ask me the same questions over and over then what is the point? Anyone experience the same thing with their tests?

if you're just looking for practice questions, i use studygroup101 - they have a lot on each study guide. :specs:

The EC practice exams work well for me... helped me study my weak areas, and I noticed the difference when I took the actual exams. Worth the money, I paid $75 for each practice exam (A and B forms together).
