so I got a date for this weekend at AMC. I feel like I know all of the CE's.....just scared of failing for something stupid. I don't know if I can handle another fail! I am excited to try again because I feel better prepared. I told my husband if I pass, i'm coming home and burning my study guide!!

It felt pretty good to throw mine into the recycle bin!! Now I kind of regret it because people email me with questions and I don't have my 'paper version' to refer to and I hate loading up the electronic one!

I think the Baptist is used in Amarillo for a site, it is very easy if you follow what you learned in the workshop. I know of a fantastic tutor in Amarillo if you want her email. Know your grid and PCS and you will find it a breeze but it helps to have had a personal tutor who has taken the exam. Just let me know if you want any contacts. Good luck

Hello there? Are you living in canada after having done Excelsiors program? I noticed your name so wanted to know. i don't know anyone who has done the Exc program.

Thank you for responding. What i am asking is how many did you study. I know about the labs. But for wound care, did you study 4-5 diff types of wounds? Did you study your nursing dx? Would you say 20 diff scenarios?

The care plans i studied were:
Impaired mobility, Deficient fluid volume, impaired verbal comm., Impaired skin integrity, inflammatory bowel disease, activity intolerance, ineffective airway clearance, impaired gas exchange, fear, risk for peripheral neurovascular dysfunction, ineffective breathing pattern, fatigue, and risk for injury, risk for falls, risk for injury R/T maturational age, Diarrhea.

For the wound; i practice the flower method and the loose rope method, the rope cannot be tight it must be fluffy. So there you are, hope this helps.
