Is Excelsior and college network the same thing?

Nursing Students Excelsior

what is the connection of college network and excelsior? I am ready to get info on doing excelsior but not sure which to contact.

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

Contact Excelsior directly; The College Network is NOT affiliated with Excelsior, and is a company that sells study guides.

There have been posters in the past that have expressed that TCN is not beneficial and lost thousands of dollars using TCN; they also have been sued by a state attorney general.

Do a search on here as I did:

As well as read this testimonial:

Best wishes.

TCN is a publishing company that is not related to, affiliated with, or endorsed by Excelsior College in any way. They are not qualified or authorized to advise you on admissions or academics. The guides average approximately $600-$1000 each and are not guaranteed to be accurate. All costs from TCN are in addition to the fees, tuition and charges from Excelsior. In addition, since TCN is not an educational institution any loans or payment arrangements are via private entity and as such not eligible for deferment or federal protection.

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

Caveat emptor!!

Also be aware that you would not be paying "tuition" to TCN as you go, like a college, and, if you quit going you would just quit paying. You are not paying tuition; you are buying a product (their study modules), like buying a washing machine or automobile. You sign a contract agreeing to pay the full price for the full set of modules. If you later change your mind, decide you don't like or need the modules, or some personal thing happens that prevents you from continuing in school, you will still owe them the entire amount of the cost of the entire program. I really encourage you to look at the many threads here about TCN before talking with them. The representatives are salespeople, nothing more, and will say whatever they need to say to get you to sign the contract, and then you are stuck owing them many thousands of dollars.

Excelsior is an accredited college in Albany NY. TNC is a money grubing buisness that sell study guides for $5,000.$7,000.00...you can buy a lot of nursing books for that.
