by galenanurse Jul 25, '12I really wanted to do the Excelsior program, but since I live in Illinois it is not practical. I am going to go through Indiana State University. I am wondering, do I need to be enrolled with Excelsior to take their non-nursing tests's, ex. micro?
Thank you!

- Jul 25, '12 by TxNurseTxI believe that you can take the first one prior to being enrolled, but the others you must be enrolled. In October, you must be enrolled to take any of the nursing exams.

Also, what is not practical about being in Illinois? I am doing the LPN to RN program and I actually live in Indiana! - Jul 28, '12 by LunahRNQuote from veggieLPNIllinois requires that EC grads have two years of RN experience to endorse a license. A full list of additional state requirements is here: State Board Requirements - excelsior.eduAlso, what is not practical about being in Illinois?
