- 1Jul 25, '12 by galenanurseI really wanted to do the Excelsior program, but since I live in Illinois it is not practical. I am going to go through Indiana State University. I am wondering, do I need to be enrolled with Excelsior to take their non-nursing tests's, ex. micro?

Also, what is not practical about being in Illinois? I am doing the LPN to RN program and I actually live in Indiana!
