Thanks so much for that you really helped me make my decision a little easier Was the excelsior practice exams helpful? Were they close to the actual exam? I unfortunately have to take all my sciences over again since I have been out of school for more than 5 years Can't wait to get to the nursing part. Being a RT did you find the nursing classes to be easy or hard? Thanks for your input again and GOOD LUCK!!!
Hey, Mike... your sciences will still be good ***IF*** you enroll before Oct 1! If you haven't yet applied, do so ASAP! And, like RTsoonRN said... no need to use 3rd party publishing companies (Rue, The College Network, etc..) In fact, Excelsior warns against them on their site!

    Good luck!

I can't answer that entire question, ( academic honesty policy) but yes the practice exams are INVALUABLE!! That depends on your strengths, I found some parts easier ( pulmonary, cardiac ), some (metabolic, endocrine, etc) you may find more difficult, it just depends on your strengths.

Hi Mike, I am also registered with EC and want to get my RN (AS). I have a question regarding some of the tests. I would appreciate if you could give me any advice on where I can get more study materials to prepare for the exams better. I got all the books and I also purchased the practice exams. It's been frustarting because haven't done well on couple of the exams, and I am just lost on what else I can do to pass them. It feels like no matter how much I study I just can't pass. I don't get how they put these tests together. I really need help. Any feedback would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I have had success from following the content guide and reading the related chapters. In addition, studying the rationales from the practice exams realloy helped me focus on my weak areas. Spend the few extra dollars and purchase the practice exams.

OMG! I am a RRT but I have LPN (3 years) experience. I am presently in lpn to bsn program DSU. I was in the program in NYC but due to relocation that was enevitable I am starting over again. was interested in doing excelsior. Spoke to representative, who always makes it sounds so easy. But I want to hear from you, us, the students. I have another colleague who is doing it now and he finds it extremely difficult. Very wordy, more than the actually sit in classes I have attending for nursing.

anyone in the area interested in studying together and getting thru this time in our lives?

I am a RT looking to do the RN Bridge Program. I am a little scared about not getting the clinical experience, anybody else done this that would have any tips for me? What would be a good way to get some clinical time in? Is the CPNE hard? Thanks
