Does anyone know if there are any cpne testing sites in Florida?

There is a site in Naples Fl. Not sure how long it takes but I have heard others say at least 7 months to get a date there.

Thanks! I don't mind the wait, because that will give me time to prepare.

So if there's a 7-8 months wait, that means the alot of people in Florida are jumping on the bandwagon. That's music to their ears!

Actually, I heard it's because the site is still new so they have to get the examiners trained and they are bringing the CE's down from Georgia to do so. There is only testing there once a month right now. :-)

Hi,

I applied and actually got an email last week that the wait for Florida is 6 months. So they suggested if I didn't want to wait that long, then I should pick another site.

Here is a copy of the email:

TO Excelsior College Students requesting to take the CPNE at NCH Health System, Naples, Fl

We are delighted that a large number of students have expressed interest in our Florida test site. However, we have very limited space available at NCH, Naples, FL due to a small number of clinical faculty available to work at the test site. Currently we are testing only 5-6 students once per month in Florida. We hope to increase the available slots in the future as the number of available faculty grows.

I want to simply caution you that if you limit your CPNE site request to Florida you potentially have a 6 month wait to be scheduled. We can, however, accommodate you at one of our sites in Georgia within a 2-3 month time frame. SPAC student scheduler, Stephanie Scott, is now scheduling Georgia test sites for July-September. If you want to make sure you are scheduled for late summer/early Fall, please be flexible in your site selection.

I'm so glad that they now have a testing site in Florida. Makes it so much easier.

confused to test in Naples or New York, any advice?

when do you want to test? from what I've read, some (but not all) people who applied june-august of 2011 have received a date for the end of march recently. supposedly the npac has the shortest wait time.

so, thats 6 months, I want to test as soon as possible, and take a workshop before then.

even if you say August, it's 7 months, but from what I'm reading it seems more like 8-10 months. ridiculous either way. good luck!
