Any of you foreign educated RN who branched up to the USA system?

HI there,
I'm a french educated RN living in NY and I'm trying to get into an RN to BSN program. I'd love to get in touch with other people in a similar situation in order to learn how to navigate the US schooling system.
I had my transcript analyzed but some College won't even give me any credit for my 3 years of French nursing school because it's hospital training. They are expecting me to take all of the pre requisites (including anat physio) which seems redundant! any of you have tips to share?
