Hello everyone. I've been reading your comments for a few hours today and decided I would join in. I have been an RN for nearly 30 years and have worked in many health settings. I didn't go to nursing school
until after I was married and had 3 three children who were 7 mos., 3 and 6 at the time. It was tough but I was determined to be an RN. My husband helped me the most. My mother and in-laws were against me leaving my children at home and would not help me so I set out and found dependable women in my neighborhood and at church to help out with the children. I have worked in hospitals, extended care facilities, nursing homes, rehab. facilities, physician offices, adult day care, and clinical research. I am now thinking of starting my own business as a geriatric case manager/non-medical home care business, as the elderly are my favorite group of people. Are there any of you that are in business for yourself. I'd love to hear from you.
