Hello Everyone, I have been an antepartum RN in florida for 5 years and am now looking to expand my horizons. I take care of pregnant women who are considered high risk (ie diabetes,PIH, Pre-term labor fetal monitoring, progesterone injections.) I've just recently looked and I see that some of the home health agencies offer services for this. I would really like to move from the hospital setting(working 7pm-7a) and see these women in their homes. I want to have more flexibility and make my own hours so I figure this is the way to go. I guess I would just really like some tips on how to start and how to get contracts from ob offices. And any other sound advice would be much appreciated. Does anyone recommend working for an agency first or is that really necessary? Thank you all for your feedback

  4. Are you still thinking about this? If so definitely go agency first, look, listen and learn EVERYTHING. Be a sponge and soak up all the information you can about their policies and procedures and their contacts. Let me know how it all works out.
