I have a medicare homecare case, I am a private duty nurse in Minnesota, and I would like take on the case through a joint venture with a medicare certified agency. Does anybody have an idea as to how to form this kind of joint venture? TIA

A joint venture? What you have is a bargaining chip. I'd try to negotiate a contract with agencies for about 85% of the reimbursement. Found money for them. Is that joint enough, or am I misunderstanding what you want to do?

Thanks for the response. In addition to what was previously written: So let's say I have a home care vent client and I work as a private duty nurse. I bring the client and myself to the new agency and say, I am willing to work on the case and be billed for my private duty nurse hours through their billing and accounting. After the cost of billing and accounting expenses and other expenses such as the payroll of the other nurse's that are working the case and workman's comp/liability insurance, you offer the agency to split 15/85 of the net profit?

Other nurses? So your own work time is irrelevant. I have no idea of what a finder's fee should be. Probably not much. After all, they still have the same expenses and reimbursements for cases that walk through the door. I'm not sure how they could justify shrinking their normal operating margin.
