Changing Roles

by jmc

HAS ANY ONE OUT THERE CHANGED TO A DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT ROLE IN NURSING? WHAT WAS IT? IS IT BETTER TO STAY WITH WHAT YOU KNOW OR JUMP INTO SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT. I HAVE WORKED ON A MED-SURG FLOOR AND NOW IN HOMECARE BUT EXTREMELY BURNTOUT. WANTING TO GO TO SURGERY OR L&D. NOT SURE IF THEY WOULD WANT ME, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE. ANYONE ONE OUT THERE WORK IN EITHER SURGERY OR L&D AND LIKE IT? OR THINK THEY WOULD TAKE A CHANCE ON ME?
