by tanman Nov 7, '98I have been reading recent studies about the compliance level of universal precautions in the ED. Whether self reporting or by observer reports, universal precautions are not to optimum levels. Reported reasons are, lack of time, and lack of dexterity. Research statistics show a drop in compliance of ED staff. This witnessed and researched dilemma became a concern of mine. I am now writing a theory paper for school centered on this subject.
I want to know are Universal Precautions followed in the ED?
