Level 1 peer interview

Hey all - I had a previous post about an interview that I had at a level 1 last week. All went well with the HR screener and ED manager. The place is amazing and brand new. Next step is the peer interview and my last group/peer interview was almost 3 years ago.

I have found some questions on peer interviews, but I'm looking at what a level 1 might try to challenge/quiz me on. I currenly work at a level 2, so I want to prepare myself for those questions that they will pose to me specific to a level 1. I want to do my homework and be best prepared for the "deposition." Any nurses out there that have interviewed at a level 1 and can offer some advice? How you might have responded, or what they were looking for, or even if you are a nurse that is part of the interview process for a new hire. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Thanks! Definitely excited - I always wonder how the questions have changed and how each facility compares with these interviews... it's fun, but I'll be glad for it to be over!!!

So just to post out into the great void - if no responses, at least someone might read this and relate...

I had my peer interview yesterday and was offered a job today (via voicemail) - Don't know what I'll do as of yet.... still holding out for another hospital who said an offer is coming... hope they can get that to me before this other one wants an answer!!!! Stresssss!!!!!

Awesome!! Were the questions about what you expected? Were they more clinically-oriented, or more like "Where do you see yourself in 5 years" type of stuff?

Congrats!!

Thanks, Lunah, for your response. The questions were clinical, as well as how would I handle personal issues - definitely a healthy round of questions. One person asked how I keep myself current professionally - that was a good one. I did get offered a position, but much to my chagrin, it's for a night shift. I was sure I would get another shift, since the manager said she wanted to give me what I am used to and would be a happy fit. I am trying to put the pressure on the other hospital, as they are my first first pick. I'm trying to use these tactics I have heard about, so I'm hoping that this other hospital will give me an offer before I have to get back to the one that just gave me one. Agggrrrrgghhhhh!!!! Did I mention that the money for the level 1, night shift, is not really worth rearranging my life for..???? I think because it's a level 1, they can attract talent that will come in at any price... but for a night shift, I want more of an incentive.....
