Tell me have you ever had to deal with 'that' nurse that knows everything, tells you what to do cause your doing it wrong and won't take constructive criticism, what do you say to someone like that?

Nothing. They already know everything and won't listen anyway.

I am a smart mouth so it would something like "How much do I owe you for the education class?" and Follow that up with "Leave me alone thank you"

I like to point out all their shortcomings... every chance I get.

Seriously, no one knows it all. It's "that" nurse that is the most dangerous.
Accidents happen when you stop asking questions act like you know more than you THINK you do. Stay away from "that" one. Let them fall...

I just nod and smile until she leaves, it's the best way to get rid of her quickly! LOL

i have someone at work like this. another nurse and i were talking about theres always that one person who has to mess with the balance of the unit with their behavior. Theres always someone like that in any area, whether in floor nursing or management. we have one "person" who will call you no matter what time it is to get some type of non important information or something she could of just looked up.
advice.. as little interaction as possible. good luck.

"...you are a genius, would you like to watch my patients as well as yours, thanks..." of course thats the smarty pants side of me, the logistical side would smile and walk away.

Who says it has to be a nurse? Most of these characters have been CNAs who were dead set on telling me what my job is or is not.
