Yay! Passed Transitions

Passed transitions today. It was one of the harder test for me??? I thought I was well prepared but seemed to have trouble with the wording of questions . . . proly b/c it was raining, dreary and I had a HA. Anyhoo, made a B and was shocked but grateful. I qualify for the FCCA then CPNE . . . Yahooy! Can't believe I have gotten this far so quick. Thanks everyone for all you support and help.

Still have a few Gen Ed classes, too.

P.S. Has anyone that made it all the way taken a NCLEX prep course before taking the RN NCLEX. My LPN school brought in a specialist for a 2-day seminar and it was really helpful. thanks.

Why was it a harder test for you? I am studying for that one currently since EC recommended me do it first. Congrats on passing!!

Congrats!!! I'm getting ready to work on that one, too...I've heard it's a really dry one, which is part of what makes it so difficult. Lots of history, HMO's, PPO's, not skills, just info...not my favorite subect, but it's gotta be done! Anyway, good luck on the FCCA and CPNE...I'm sure you'll do great!

Thanks!

I think it was harder for me because I had mistakenly scheduled this exam one week from the last one I took instead of my usual two weeks. After I discovered what I did I just kept the date. I don't know if I would have done better if I had another week to study. I only knew the basics of what was on the content guide but not many details. I got a 72% on practice exam A and a 62% on practice exam B -- first time I've ever done worse on the second one. I felt shaky going in and really thought about half way through that I blew it. Still don't know how I pulled a B.

Best wishes to you both on your upcoming test!

I am going to take a review through Rhinehart and Assoc (nclexreview.com, i think). I used them with my lpn boards (failed the first 2 times) and they were wonderful. Wilda and the gang are so much fun and taught me sooo much. I will definately use them again! Check them out when you get close!! Good luck on fcca. I just finished mine last week and got all my cpne application stuff in a few weeks ago! PM me if you need anything!

I didn't. My employer did provide free access to the NCSBN's learning extension online review, which was nice. I found, though, that EC's program prepared me very well for NCLEX. It felt like an EC exam, seriously!

Congrats on getting to this point!!

I agree -- every EC exams reminds of the NCLEX lpn! I am glad b/c I know they are preparing for that big day.
