A lot of people who attend EC workshops have positive experiences with it for the most part.

I have to say though, they do a horrible job of hyping it to us the students. When I was comparing all the workshops I read the description for EC's and it was very non-exciting stuff. I would think they would try and make it more appealing to students.

I took Sheri Taylor's workshop in Atlanta 4 weeks before taking the CPNE in June '09 and it was awesome. Small class size. Ample opportunity to practice labs and assessments, as well as work on careplans and get immediate feedback. Sheri is very knowledgable and her course is well organized. I failed the CPNE my first time and passed after taking Sheri's workshop. I wish I had taken her workshop first - it would have saved me a lot of money re-taking the CPNE. I really loved that she was available by phone whenever I had a question.

I also utilized Rob's CPNE DVD and mnemonics, which I had purchased months before learning about Sheri's workshop. Although Rob's material is excellent, especially the mnemonics, I still felt that I needed a workshop with a real person and hands-on experience in a simulated environment. Sheri's workshop, in my opinion, was invaluable to my passing the CPNE. It really helped that I could call her anytime with questions in the 4 weeks prior to my CPNE.

Lynn Frederick has an excellent workshop. You can find her online and she travels to different locations throughout the US. I also have utilized materials from www.robscpne.com . I have used these materials at home after the workshop and for practice. I am taking my CPNE next weekend, so, everyone please say a prayer and wish me luck!!!!
