Tell me am I the only "old"LVN at College?

Updated Jan 23, 2008 at 08:43 PM by ginger1023

I moved to Texas from Canada ,had to fight to get my LVN license
(had a LPN from canada)..
now I am doing correspondence via NEW YORK to get my RN (AS in Nursing)
I'm sure there are many of you out there who are going that route or who have accomplished it already??????
My question .....is there any Grandma's like me .....
or what is your opinion on what age is to old .....
Presently I am an Alzheimer Unit Administrator....
but Nursing is my PASSION [s]

Ginger,

I moved your post to the Distance Learning Forum so that you can best connect with other Excelsior students. Good luck as you continue with your studies!

Im at EC, and I am 62, so if you are old at 59, where does that put me?
All that glitters is not age. At work one time, a nurse about 30 years younger than myself, seemed exhausted half way through shift. I told her you sit down, let me stand, you look tired. I walk faster than many people much younger. I wonder how many people younger than myself could keep up with me on my walk or when I am on my mountain bike.
I will admit, my memory chips in my brain, do need refurbishing. I will admit someone 42 does look like a teeny bopper to me.
