SUNY Delhi

I was wondering if anyone here is doing SUNY Delhi's RN to BSN online? Chose not to go with excelsior for the BSN and SUNY schools are cheaper. I start in Jan of '08. It would be great if anyone else here is doing it.

Kenny

I am a RN with an associates degree and live in NY. I am really interested in obtaining my BSN. Due to my schedule and other demands I decided online is the way to go for me. I have applied at suny at delhi to their online BSN. Does anyone know anything about this college or program? any info would be appreciated. I know it is a fairly new program. The online one anyway. The tuition is excellent compared to other programs I have researched. Thanks in advance.

The program is actually really good. I am very pleased with it so far. I am wrapping up the first semester now. The instructors are great. There is a bit of writing but not to much. It is very managable. I took 5 classes this semester and am doing well with time. From here on out I am bogging my self down so I can finish in the fall hopefully, if not I will have 1 or 2 classes in teh spring and graduate in '09. Good luck with the program, I am sure we will run into each other again.

Hello,
I basically have the same life style and same questions about SUNY Delhi that you have. Did you start already? I just applied. I will start in the Summer. The only thing I know is that they are not accredited yet. Let me know if you have other info, please.

That's great that you are already there. I guess your class will be the first one to graduate.
I just applied also; hope to start in the summer. I know that they are not accredited yet. I am not sure how it would affect our diploma since we are already registered. May I ask you some things? What prerequisites they asked you to do? Can you do them online too? Thanks a lot.

They are not currently accredited but according to the school they anticipate accreditation soon. There are openings still for the summer term. Have you already been accepted, cacau. Big Kenny tell me more. I work full time but would like to do the accelerated plan. What are five classes like? Have you done any of the clinical requirement for classes? Is it hard to find a preceptor? Did you have to repeat lower level classes like health assessment if you already took it? Well cacau we will be starting in the same term. Good luck! Keep in touch.

I'm starting this fall. I live in Binghamton but the online part attracts me. I'm hoping they'll work with me to accept CLEP or EC for some of the gen. ed. credits, as I'd really like to get done in a year-ish. I just got registered for classes and am so excited my bird is giving me worried looks. Whee!
