South University's RN to BSN online

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to connect with any South University online students. I am in the process of enrolling and would like to know how you like or dislike the program.

Thanks

Hi! I am not a South U student YET, but am considering them for my BSN. Have you started yet? If so, how is it so far? I, too, would like to know from someone with experience, what to expect.

Thanks,
mommy2boys

Hi,
I know its been awhile since you asked the question about South University... Did you guys end up enrolling? How did it work out? I'm considering the BSN for April 2010.

I am in my second year at South and hope to graduate in May 2010. One class at a time, but it's really all I can handle between working FT and kids in school themself. I have to say I am happy with the program and all of the support I have gotton from faculty, advisors, etc. They really do set things up to make you successful.
Be prepared to put in LOTS of time though. Lots of reading, TONS of papers to write, most of the info you are researching for yourself. It is completely different from a traditional classroom approach. The online instructors are facilitators to help you find the information on your own, but the "lectures" provided online are really broad and you are expected to research details for yourself. That being said, I really do like the RN to BSN program.
If anybody out there can give me some insight to the capstone course, I would really appreciate knowing a little more about it. Any South RN to BSN graduates out there???

I am coming up on my 2nd year with South....it has been a slow process (taking one class at a time!) but I have really enjoyed it. I am looking at the MSN program, too. My only thoughts are ANP vs FNP. I think I would rather have FNP......
