Do you find that any of these programs grant credits for having an RN license? How is clinical handled if required? On the average how long does it take to complete program? Thank for any responses.

DNRS320 5 credits Adult Health Nursing III*
DNRS321 3 credits Leadership and Nursing Practice*

*Validated Nursing Credit - 8 Credit Hours
Upon successful completion of 10 Baccalaureate Degree Nursing credits, these 8 escrow credits will be applied toward the baccalaureate degree as credit by validation."

Florida Hospital College does the above. Which I believe is giving you credit for having your RN already. I don't know why you have to wait until completing 10 hours of credits though.

Listen Great Thread !
Love this thread, I am looking for an RN-BSN or RN -BSN/MSN online and this thread had links of schools I had not even heard of. Who is NOT happy with their courses? It might help us weed out some of them. I have been looking at Jacksonville--any one enrolled? Now researching the ones listed here with much lower tuition. Tweety, how do you like yours? How is testing handled, etc. Thanks for the info in advance. MoNurse

MOnurse, my course if study is going well. Hard work for sure. What I like is the support of the insturctors and fellow students. The instructors are very fair. We bombed a chemistry test and the next test was not only easier, but had 15 points extra credit available, which lifted my average way up. Also, another test in Research when most of us missed the same questions they thew them out. I've also been able to call by phone and get an instructor very easily. My research class the instructor is very literal in grading, if you include what is asked in your essays and postings, etc. he says you get a 100 without much nitpicking. The same for Statistics I made a lot of 100's in that class.

They are a Christian school, so they have some co-reqs I need to take, like two Religion courses. One is "Lessons in Living" and the other is "World Religions". I think they will be interesting and I don't mind that aspect it of at all. It's kind of nice to begin a class with prayer, and have Christian principals incorporated into it. But that's not only a tiny part of the program.

Good luck.
