Question about the timeline of last requiremient to NCLEX

According to EC's State Board Application and Graduation Processing Timeline it can take 6-10 weeks after fulfilling last requirement before receiving ATT from NCLEX. That seems like a long time. Does it really take this long if you stay on top of it?

How long did it take you?

I am trying to stay on top of this so I can have the shortest time from last requirement to NCLEX. Any pointers?

I took my last exam on 10/21.

I'm just waiting for them to update everything and bill me my graduation fee so I can pay that, and then I'll be able to apply for NCLEX. I could apply now, but Excelsior will not release any transcripts until the fee is paid anyway. And I can't pay what hasn't been billed yet.

I passed CPNE on 6/15 and was processed for graduation on 7/9 -- and that was with me calling and whining because I had a 45% pay raise waiting for me! It does take some time -- EC has a lot of students to process, and not just in the nursing program.

I just received my "congratulations" letter! But still no bill. I am approved to graduate 11/20.

The second they bill me, I am paying and applying.

I love my letter. LOL

Call the billing people -- I called them and paid over the phone! They usually get the account ready for payment a day or two after you're processed for graduation. I'd give them a call tomorrow. The paper bill could take a couple of weeks!

I will call Monday. I just keep checking my online billing account. I figured that would update when they printed the bill.

So it looks like it is taking about 4 weeks from last requirement til graduation. Do you have to wait until after graduation to schedule the NCLEX?

No. Just until you've paid the graduation fee so that they will release your transcript to the state board.

Check with your BON. In my state I couldn't sit for the boards until AFTER my graduation date, couldn't even schedule it. I had all my paperwork and prints sent in though so it was all ready at the BON when Excelsior sent my transcripts. I tested 3 weeks after my grad date.

As a side note, I took CPNE the 1st week in August and my grad date wasn't until beginning of October, and they weren't interested in how much of a pay raise I'd be getting, I had to wait the full time!
